JOHN BUCY John Bucy is a proud graduate of a Texas Charter School and has a Liberal Arts Degree from Austin College, a small liberal arts school in North Texas where he made lasting friendships which include many of his current coworkers. After college John moved to Austin where he spent sometime working in politics before becoming the Director of the Association of Charter Educators of Texas. In 2007, he left ACE to form the Texas Charter School Academic & Athletic League (TCSAAL). In7 years, TCSAAL has grown to servingover 150 public charter schools across the State of Texas.This past summer John was married, and he is currently running for State Representative as the Democratic Nominee in District 136. John hopes to win in November and be a strong advocate for Texas’ students at the Capitol.
JASON LO Jason Lo is a Graduate of Odessa High School where he played for his Varsity 5A soccer team. Also a graduate of Austin College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. Jason initially started working for TCSAAL in its second year back in 2008. After taking a 1 year hiatus, Jason came back to TCSAAL in the 2011 school year.
TOM TOMPKINS Tom was raised in East Dallas from the age of two, and grew up playing organized sports in a parochial league which included his elementary/middle school of St Philip the Apostle. While in high school he participated in league organization and referee work for the Parents for Kids Parochial Soccer League, which included schools with sports programs that were no longer funded by the Diocese of Dallas. After graduating from Dallas Jesuit, Tom attended college at Austin College in Sherman, Texas, and continued to live and work in Grayson County till 2012. In 2013, he began to work for TCSAAL as a Site Manager in the North Texas Region. Tom moved into the role of North Texas Regional Director last year during the soccer season he is excited about working more closely with all of you, in order to enhance our ability to provide a rewarding experience for athletes, families and coaches in the years to come.
ZACH DOOLEY Zach Dooley a graduate of South Grand Prairie High School located outside of Dallas, where he competed in state level 5A speech, theater, and debate, as well as participating on his high school’s Varsity baseball team. He went on to obtain his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Austin College and started working for TCSAAL in 2010.
JACOB HARVISON Jacob graduated from The Oakridge School in Arlington, TX where he lettered in Varsity Football, Basketball, and Track all four years of High School. Upon graduation, Jacob continued his education in Dallas, earning a B.A. in both Political Science and International Studies with a Minor in European Studies. In 2005, Jacob earned 1st place honors at the annual Mr. & Ms. SMU Bodybuilding & Fitness Competition. Shortly after, Jacob became a Cooper Institute Certified Fitness trainer where he trained fellow student-athletes at the Deadmen Center for Lifetime Fitness. In 2010, Jacob earned his Master of Liberal Arts from Texas Christian University with honors. Jacob remains physically active with his participation in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and volunteers for Gobalware in his spare time.
